The Global Investor Program, GIP "is planned and managed by the liaison Singapore department under the Economic Development Board of Singapore. Contacting the Singapore department mainly involves establishing connections with business owners and entrepreneurs, assisting them in investing and expanding their business in Singapore.
Invest no less than SGD 10 million to establish a new commercial entity or expand existing entity business
Invest no less than SGD 25 million in selected funds under the Global Business Investor Program
Establish a single family wealth management office in Singapore that manages assets of no less than SGD 200 million, and invest no less than SGD 50 million into the following four investment categories (not limited to one category)
Applicable plan: Plan A, B or C
The applicant shall submit the complete Global Business Investor Program application form (including electronic and printed versions) to the Economic Development Board of Singapore
The Singapore Economic Development Board invites applicants to attend interviews
If the applicant meets the evaluation criteria, they will receive a letter of approval in principle for the Global Business Investor Program from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore The validity period of this approval letter is six months
The applicant must fulfill the promised investment in the application form within the six-month validity period of the approval letter in principle
After implementing the investment, the applicant must submit relevant supporting documents (such as certified copies of equity certificates, bank statements, and other legal documents) and a guarantee of investment terms and conditions to the Economic Development Board of Singapore
After the Economic Development Board of Singapore confirms the relevant supporting documents, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore will issue a final approval letter for the Global Business Investor Program to the applicant. Option C requires the applicant to prove that they have invested no less than SGD 50 million within twelve months from the date of issuance of the final approval letter
Applicants must complete the relevant procedures within twelve months of obtaining the final approval letter for the Global Business Investor Program to officially become permanent residents of Singapore.
